Employment and vacancies
Apart from the military, civilian positions within MONUC
are divided in three categories: international staff, volunteers and local or
national staff. To see the distribution, view our mission's facts and figures.
International staff
All international staff are recruited by the Department of Peacekeeping
Operations in New York HQ. The mission does not recruit itself. For more
information:
United Nations Volunteers
Volunteers are sent to the mission via Bonn, the headquarters of United Nations
Volunteers. Recruitment process goes through them exclusively.
National (Congolese) staff
Congolese staff is recruited locally wherever MONUC is present in the DRC.
Employment is done exclusively in person.
